Who We Are
Crosstalk first came into play as a dba for record trading and record fairs in the late 80s by owner Phillip Hertz. After working at Rough Trade (San Francisco, Shigako Trading Co (London), and Kaleidoscope (Chicago), he helped launch Cargo Records America as founding partner. Subsequently Crosstalk was relaunched to serve as a connecting agent for US promotion, and import and export sales. By the late 90s, activities had coalesced around premises in "the last old school loft" in Chicago's South Loop area with actual employees and staff.
Crosstalk has operated in the collectors market on eBay and Discogs under the name "factcheckr". If you have any concerns about our reliability as a seller, feel free to check our reputation on those sites.
Crosstalk functions as a record importer and exporter, aggregator for digital distribution, and now has launched this site for access to the retail market place.. We focus primary on sale of vinyl records;our strengths being dub, dubstep, hip hop, house, techno and other forms of electronic-based sounds as they evolve. We also offer a nice selection of rock and jazz, and other music on CD and vinyl as well.
If you are a label or artist, with releases that you think would be suitable for the site, or for distribution, please contact us via the "Contact us" button.
